James Toney to Defend Boxing Title after UFC 118 Fight with Randy Couture

In a recent media session to promote his upcoming bout with Randy Couture at UFC 118 in Boston, James Toney told MMA Junkie that he plans to return to defending his boxing title after knocking “The Natural” out.

“I’m doing both (boxing and MMA), I’m a two-sport athlete,” Toney said. “After I fight Couture on Aug. 28, I’m going to defend my (boxing) title against somebody in October or November.”
