News

MMA Junkie is reporting that Dana White has confirmed that Frank Mir vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueria II will be the main event of UFC 119. The two  had first met at UFC 92 for Nogueria’s Interim Heavyweight Title with Frank Mir becoming the first man to secure a TKO victory over the Pride veteran. Mir’s victory was tainted in the eyes of many when it emerged that Nogueria had been suffering from both a staph infection and a knee injury in the run up to the fight. A war of words began between the two fighters last year, with Mir criticizing Nogueria for ‘making excuses’ to diminish his loss. With brother Antonio Rogerio facing Ryan Bader on September 25th, Indiana seems the perfect place for Nogueria to settle his score with Frank Mir
