Glee Executive Producer Sets The Record Straight on Season Two Guest Star Rumors

News, Shows

Dante Di Loreto, one of the executive producers for Glee, said on his Twitter Spanish actor Javier Bardem is NOT going to guest star on Glee this season. The same goes for Jennifer Aniston, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Elvis, Katie Holmes, Tom Cruise, and U2. Here is what he said

Di Loreto tweets: “No, javierbardemjenniferaniston juliarobertsbradpittelvis katieholmestomcruiseandu2 are not appearing in season 2. But wouldn’t it be fun….”

Bardem himself was the one talking about being on “Glee,” in the form of a rock star who befriends Artie. But apparently that is not the case. Bardem is most famous as of late for his turn in the 2007 Coen brothers movie “No Country for Old Men,” for which he won the Best Supporting Actor Oscar. Bardem is also featured in the August release “Eat Pray Love,” starring Julia Roberts and written and directed by “Glee” creator Ryan Murphy.

We’re disappointed by Di Loreto’s tweet, in particular the part about Tom Cruise. After his brilliant Les Grossman appearances lately, we think he’d fit right in on “Glee.”

Update: The LA Times also reports that a 20th Century Fox spokesman confirms no Javier Bardem on “Glee.”
