So Nathan Fillion is NOT Ant-Man In Marvel's Avengers Movie Afterall

News

While yesterday we reported that Nathan Fillion of Firefly and Castle fame would be playing Hank “Ant-Man” Pym in the upcoming Avengers movie by Marvel Studios, which is being written and directed by Joss Whedon. This announcement would make sense, as Fillion is to Joss Whedon as Ben Affleck is to Kevin Smith.

The friend who either stars or guest stars in everything that the writer-director comes up with. Usually on the cheap as a personal favor, but that part is more of a Ben Affleck joke.

Anyway, apparently we spoke too soon with Fillion’s casting in the Avengers movie, and the actor will not be portraying any character in it. As for why, he had this to say.

“You know what, the internet is a vast wealth of information, 90% of it false. I’m working ten months out of the year doing a television program where I don’t get a lot of opportunities to sneak out after work and do other projects, so I’m kind of locked in. If you just look at the logistics of it, I’m really busy. Even if all of the stars were to align, I wouldn’t have time to do it.”

I’ll call it a pretty valid reason.

Sorry for the mess up!
