UFC Hall of Famer and five-time, two-weight former world champion Randy “The Natural” Couture will throw the first pitch before the Oakland A’s vs. Texas Rangers game on August 7th. With the game starting at 1:10pm the ceremonial first pitch is set for 12:55pm and will be caught by Oakland’s baseman and UFC fan Daric Barton. Couture will be making the appearance at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum to promote UFC 117: Silva vs. Sonnen that is taking place in Oakland the same day and his upcoming fight against boxer James Toney taking place later this month at UFC 118: Edgar vs. Penn II.
