In a surprise, Bryan Danielson aka Daniel Bryan returned to WWE at Summerslam 2010.
Earlier in the night, the Miz had accepted the seventh spot in the 14 man elimination tag team match main event. However, when John Cena’s team was introduced, he declined the Miz, instead introducing Daniel Bryan as the seventh man.
Danielson was put over strong in the match, until the Miz ran down and attacked him with the Money in the Bank briefcase, leading to his pin.
Danielson is presumably back with WWE to be on the Raw brand, and the status of his appearance at various indy dates in August and September is TBD.
