The Criterion Collection is hammering out its fall schedule of releases and for November it looks to have a great line-up with classic titles, a little controversy and a celebration of the New Hollywood of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
On November 9, Criterion will release Lars von Trier’s Antichrist, a film that was highly controversial when it was released in 2009. A week later, Charles Laughton’s The Night Hunter with Robert Mitchum will get the Criterion treatment. That same week sees the release of Charlie Chaplin’s Modern Times. Finally, the studio ends the month with a bang with America Lost and Found: The BBS Story, a six-disc box set featuring seven films from the innovative New Hollywood of the late 1960s and early 1970s.
