Never trust a cell phone alarm clock.
Jim Furyk was disqualified for oversleeping and missing his scheduled tee-time for the Pro-Am at The Barclays. Furyk’s cell phone died overnight so the alarm he set didn’t go off.
Furyk is ranked 3rd in the Fed Ex cup standings and will still qualifiy for the second round of the Fed Ex Cup.
“I’m kicking myself,” Furyk said. “I have a way of climbing into situations that are all my fault.”
