Fox Signs Distribution Deal For Walking With Dinosaurs Movie

News, Projects

Deadline is reporting that Fox has signed a deal at the American Film Market to distribute the $65 million CGI/live-action adaptation of the popular BBC mini-series Walking with Dinosaurs. The original series used CGI and animatronic dinosaurs to recreate life in the Mesozoic period. A touring exhibition, spin-off series and a T-Rex-sized amount of merchandise followed the original series airing.

Fox would handle domestic distribution for the film in addition to taking on some select foreign markets. While details about the film’s plot are sparse, it is being compared to March of the Penguins and is said to follow a migrating heard of dinosaurs that get separated.
