Marvel’s been doing teasers for Invincible Iron Man #500, but this one couldn’t just be overlooked. Dubbed “The Death of Tony Stark”, it appears to depict an elderly Tony as his Repulsor Disk fails, and his heart appears to stop. Released along with the image, however, is the script for this very page.

TONY looks back at the hologram machine as it goes dead. ALL ELECTRICITY goes dead. The room suddenly dim, everything outside is dark. He’s lit only by moonlight and the fading glow of the hologram generator.

ON THE REPUSLOR DISC in his chest, sparking one last time, flaring up–
