Spoiler Warnings: What Great Secret Of The Marvel Universe Might Stand Revealed After Avengers #8?

Spoilers

See, here’s the problem with being a guy like Tony Stark. He’s usually so cool, calm, and collected (and rightfully so) that he’s able to do everything by plan, that he’s already worked out contingencies and backups to insure that things don’t go FUBAR. Unfortunately, he’s not Batman, so when things do go belly up he doesn’t always maintain that cool and collected nature. Like hearing that the Red Hulk just got beat up by a guy with a red gem, his mind immediately flashes to this red gem that he and some of his buddies nabbed along with the rest of the rainbow, and how the red one makes things stronger. So he makes up a horrible excuse and bails on the Avengers, right in front of Steve Rogers.

See, here’s the thing about Steve. He’s not stupid. At all. So what does he do when Tony gets sketchy and bails? He has Maria Hill trace him.
So when he goes and meets up with those buddies, and the replacement buddy in the form of Medusa (since Black Bolt died during War of Kings), and they go looking for the yellow gem. The one that warps reality, and Black Bolt had stashed away below where Attilan once laid.

Well, gem is gone, and that’s not a good thing. Then again, neither is coming up for air and seeing Steve Rogers and every super hero he can get his hands on demanding answers.

Looks like the Illuminati is out of the bag, folks.
