10 Thoughts on WWE Superstars 01.20.2011 — Yoshi Tatsu, Tyson Kidd, Chavo Guerrero

Reviews, Shows, TV Shows

1. The bad news: I have to watch JTG, once again. The good news: I get to watch Chavo!

2. Something seemed off about this match between JTG and Chavo. It did not look very good, and I’m not 100% sure why. The camera angles were entirely too obvious, and JTG was a little frantic. Even Chavo seemed stiff.

3. I absolutely adore Hawkins/Masters. I feel as though they’ve really found a comfortable place working with each other, especially since I enjoy them so much seperately. Despite being a face, Masters has an aggression that makes him interesting to watch.

4. NXT Recap: I’m surprised they are still going on with this, though it’s a lot better now that it’s fueled with testosterone. If they could give VH1 their reality show challenges back, and get some men who could actually, oh I don’t know, WRESTLE…it could be great again.

5. Wasn’t Primo a face last week? I mean, he had his white tape on last week, and now has his black tape on. Pick one!

6. It was great to see Zack Ryder as the star of this match. At times, his gimmick overpowers his strength, and you forget how great he is.

7. Josh Mathews is immensely entertaining, and thank god. Scott’s voice just kills me.

8. I liked all the reversals and counters between Kidd and Tatsu. It established the skill level they both easily portray.

9. The finish was insanely quick, and Kidd looked fierce. This was definitely one of the more entertaining main events on Superstars.

10. Random Thought of the Week: Are there even 40 Superstars worth watching for the Royal Rumble? Or will we see entrants like Hornswoggle, The Eagle Mascot, Jack Korpela, and Vickie Guerrero?
