Call For Entries Issued For the 2011 Texas Film Festival

The Texas Film Festival has issued its annual call for entries. The festival, to be help April 1, 2011 to April 3 in College Station, Texas, is seeking feature films and shorts. While the early submission date has already past, the regular submission date ends February 24, 2011. A late submission date ends March 3.

The Texas Film Festival is an annual event hosted by Aggie SWAMP (ScreenWriting, Acting & Movie Production) Club in partnership with MSC Aggie Cinema at Texas A&M University. Over the course of three days, a wide selection of films will be screened with a live musical performance scheduled somewhere into each night’s activities.

The festival is seeking short films and feature film submissions in all genres. The three categories for submission include short films, high school shorts, and feature films.

Below are the requirements for festival submission:

  • To be considered in the Short Films category, submissions must be under 30 minutes in length
  • To be considered for the High School Shorts section, all production work must be completed by students who were in high school at the time of filming. Proof of High School enrollment must be provided.
  • Works in progress will be considered if they are submitted by the regular deadline. If accepted they will be given a conditional spot in the festival until a final version is received (No later than March 18th)
  • If you are submitting a music video, it can be included under the short films category.

Below is the submission materials needed if you wish to enter your film for consideration:

  • Completed submission form
  • Preview DVD (Region 0 or 1 and NTSC preferred)
  • Entry fee payment
  • Press kits are encouraged but not required
  • All submission materials must be delivered together in one package. Please note that preview DVDs and all other submission materials will not be returned
