Breaking News: Brock Lesnar Out Of UFC 131 Due To Diverticulitis

News, Top Story

UFC President Dana White has announced that Brock Lesnar has suffered a relapse of the Diverticulitis that threatened his life and career in the winter of 2009. Lesnar has had to withdraw from his main event bout against Junior Dos Santos at UFC 131 and will instead be replaced by Shane Carwin. Lesnar has spent fourteen hours in the world renowned Mayo Clinc being treated and believes the illness flared up again due to the stress of preparing for his fight against Dos Santos. Lesnar is hoping to once again avoid surgery especially as this time it has been caught early and can be treated with things like antibiotics. “”I have strong faith that there is a solution to every problem” said the former world heavyweight champion on today’s media call.
