Muay Thai Comes to NYC for “Battle at the Beacon”

For those of us in the Tri-State area looking to quench our thirst for combat sports, there’s hope. July 8th, the historic Beacon Theatre plays host to a night of Muay Thai and there’s an exclusive presale going on now!

Take On Productions presents “Battle at the Beacon”, sanctioned by the WKA. The long-revered martial art of “Muay Thai” comes to the historic Beacon Theatre in New York City for the very first time! Muay Thai “The Art of the Eight Limbs” features full contact stand-up fighting. This event will include twenty action-packed bouts, featuring the very best professional and amateur Muay Thai kickboxing practitioners from gyms throughout the tri-state area! Highlighted bouts include Eddie Martinez (Sitan Gym) vs Turan “The Tornado” Hasanov (Fight Factory) in a highly anticipated rubber match, and Tim Amorim (Sitan Gym PA) vs Niko Tsigaras (Lions Fight Team). New York area fan favorite Jay Matias (Sitan Gym NY) takes on Brandon Mickens (CSC Virginia) for the WKA USA Title. Also on the card: Elijah Clarke (Renzo Gracie Muay Thai), Nick Vaughan (The Wat) and WKA North American Champion Gaius Ebratt (5 Points Academy). Also, the long awaited professional debuts of Andy Singh (Pin Point Muay Thai) and his opponent Eric Ruiz (Progressive Martial Arts). Additional professional fighters on the card include: Sean Hinds (Mushin MMA), Omar Ahmed (Sitan Gym NY), and Rami Ibrahim (Sitan Gym Philly).
