Former five-weight world champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. will return to action against new WBC Welterweight Champion Victor Ortiz on September 17th. No venue has been set for the fight, Mayweather’s first since he secured a lopsided unanimous decision over Shane Mosley in May 2010, but according to ESPN’s Dan Rafael its expected to take place in Las Vegas’s MGM Grand Garden Arena. Ortiz is on a career high after upsetting Andre Berto in April while Mayweather has been dogged by legal troubles.
