Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner Return: With Your Help

News

Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner have a 45 page graphic novel in the works, with nearly 30 pages of gallery and behind the scenes.

It’s called Queen Crab, the story of Ginger Drake, a Brooklyn girl who is nearly murdered by her new husband…only to wake up on Coney Island with crab claw arms.

A Brooklyn heroine. From Palmiotti and Conner. Are you sold yet?

Good, because in order for this book to see print, Palmiotti (Power Girl, Jonah Hex, Terra, Painkiller Jane, just to name a few) is asking for a kickstart via Kickstart. As of this writing, the project has already met it’s minimum of $8,000, so it’s happening, but look at what you get:

$25: You will get a first printing , signed copy of the QUEEN CRAB book, and a limited edition signed print , by Jimmy Palmiotti.

$50: For a $50.00 pledge, you will get two copies of a signed QUEEN CRAB book by Amanda Conner and Jimmy… that will also include a beautiful Signed and Numbered print of the main character drawn by Amanda Conner.

$100: Pledge just $100 and you get two first printing QUEEN CRAB books signed by Conner and Palmiotti, as well as both the Palmiotti and Conner signed and numbered prints. You also will recieve an actual “thank you” credit in the book as well…which you can impress family members who think you do nothing but sit around and read comics all day. Yeah, we all have them.

$225: everything offered at the $100 level as well as a full color sketch card by AMANDA CONNER of the character of your choice. Really…any character. she loves a challenge.

I’m not going to list it all, but if you own a shop, or want your shop to support awesome comics and amazing creators, and perhaps meet Palmiotti and Conner in person (I have, they are genuinely inspiring and fantastic people to be around and converse with), there are bigger, serious backings.

$900: This pledge is for retailers in florida only. we will supply you with everything in the $400 level including the ad space , plus an in store appearance by Amanda Conner and Myself. We will stay for a few hours, sign whatever you need and leave you with an overall good feeling . Yeah, that good karma stuff again.

And there’s more.

So. Lovers of gorgeous art, great writing, small press comics, Brooklyn, and anyone who wants to break into the industry themselves or take up a Kickstart project for your own talents…look at all that karma Palmiotti is sending your way. And look at Palmiotti. That’s some great karma.

Palmiotti and Conner have not endorsed or contacted me in any way, I just respect their work and am inspired by them, and hope you check out the book. I know I am.
