Pulse Wrestling’s WWE Monday Night Raw Report 08.08.2011 – SummerSlam Preview Night

Reviews, Shows, Top Story, TV Shows

Welcome to Pulse Wrestling’s Live Report of WWE Monday Night Raw!  SummerSlam is this Sunday so tonight shall be focused entirely around the event.  Join me at 8 central and I will update at each commercial break.

We start the show off with Triple H on his way down to the ring, suit and all.  Man does anyone remember Trip’s song before The Game?  I used to love that… anyways…

Triple H says that in 6 nights that the entire landscape of the business will change with the CM Punk and John Cena match.  He says that change has been evident a lot here lately with Trips gaining Vince’s job and there being two champions as opposed to the none that were there before.  Triple H says that he is promising that there will be a champion Sunday.  He says that he is giving the powers as the special guest referee to himself.  Triple H says that himself is the only trustworthy person in the business.  Triple H says that there will only be one champion come Sunday.  He says that tonight will be the official contract signing.  Both men will be in action tonight.  John Cena’s match is next.

John’s music hits and out comes the paper champion.  John Cena and Triple H exchange words in the ring, but you really can’t hear them over the music and the announcers.

Ricardo Rodriguez is in the ring and he makes yet another over-explanatory announcement of ADR’s arrival.  Yes Cole we realize his car cost a lot of money, thank you.  The Cult of Personality blares through the speakers and I’m still adjusting to hearing that.  Do or die time for the Voice of the Voiceless.

Question, why is JoMo fighting Truth tonight? Why not have that match Sunday?

Christian says that it sounds like Cole was trying to disrespect him with that introduction.  Christian says he has a big announcement on SmackDown that HHH will want to hear.

HHH welcomes us to the contract signing. Punk’s theme hits and out comes the champion.  Cena’s theme hits and out comes the other champion.

Punk says let’s cut to the chase.  Punk says that this thing is official so what’s the point of the contract signing?  He asks when was the last time they had a contract signing without a fight?  Punk says he has a video clip from a celebrity to explain the situation.  It’s Dwayne Johnson.  Rock says that Cena is always angry.  Rock mocks Cena’s attire and his theme song.  Rock insults his entrance.  Rock says that Cena hears something that chills him to the core.  ‘Let’s Go Cena!’ ‘Cena sucks!’ Rock says that he is a man and that he, like other men, smells a phony punk a mile away.  Punk says that both Cena and Rock are phonies.  Punk says that he doesn’t want Rock to talk to him in a Muppet voice and insult him.  Cena says he caught him off guard with the video, but he likes it.  Cena says that Rock is a big time actor, future HOFer etc.  Cena says that Rock looks at him and flips out.  Punk says he didn’t show the clip to get Cena to talk about Rock.  Cena says that he is a little too PG for Punk.  Cena says he is the modern day Hulk Hogan who moved his hand from his ear to in front of his face.  Cena says he will never win over the millions.  Cena says he will never win over Punk’s fanbase.  Cena says he was offended by being called the New York Yankees.  Cena says that comparison was accurate.  Cena says that many people hate him.  Cena says he is concerned with those people that wear their colors proud, not those who boo him.  Cena says that those are the people he cares about.  He says that Punk throws a lot of stones for a guy who lives in a glass house.  HHH says Punk was just a guy who held out for more money and some perks.  He calls Punk a phony.  Punk says who fires people around here?  Punk asks if Johnny Ace personally fired Vladimir Kozlov or DH Smith?  Punk says that this isn’t about HHH and Ace.  Punk says that it is easy for Cena to speak in his ‘holier than thou’ tone as he always has the benefits.  Punk says when he won the ECW Championship a couple of years ago and Cena said that he had almost given up on him.  Punk says that he wants an Ice Cream bar because it wasn’t just handed to him.  Cena says that Punk won his first WWE Title 7 years ago in LA, but he is walking out with nothing Sunday.

Punk says that Cena will still have his legion of fans who will pee in their pajamas when he comes out.  He says that he won’t be WWE Champion after Sunday.  Cena asks if Punk ever thought about what if he loses Sunday?  Cena says that he is going to fight Rock at Mania win/lose/draw.  Cena says that Punk will be a one-hit wonder if he loses Sunday.  He says good luck.  Punk says luck is for losers and that he would rather be a one-hit wonder than a phony.  Cena says that the talking is wearing a bit thin.  Punk says that he can kick his teeth down his throat as well as talk.  They staredown until Ace breaks it up.  Punk kicks Ace’s… ace.  Cena swings at Punk, but takes down HHH in the process.  HHH pushes Cena.  The three stare off as the show ends.

And quite frankly my dear… that’s a wrap.
