After an explosive season finale which saw Gustavo Fring finally killed, secrets are finally starting to leak about all the work that went into the spectacular scene.
According to TVLine.com, Giancarlo Esposito learned of his character’s fate last season and said that he didn’t know who should be credited for killing the show’s biggest bad guy.
“Did Walt get Gus? Or did Hector get Gus?” Esposito said to TVLine. “It’s just all so fantastic to me, and that’s why I love this show. It’s poetic justice of the deepest and most fruitful kind. Or in the end, did Gus just get himself? He wanted this revenge so badly.”
It was Vince Gilligan’s idea to have Gus fix his tie as his final act before being killed and the make-up (which can be seen HERE) took a 90 minute casting session followed by a five-hour application process.
