Very few films scream Golden Raspberry Award nominee like Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star. The film set new extremes in annoying marketing including Joe Rogan screaming in the trailer. Nick Swardson takes what could have been a forgettable three minute sketch on his Comedy Central show and expands it into a horrific feature length film. How could he do this? He called on his good buddy Adam Sandler. The duo do not pull any punches in stooping to gross humor as Bucky goes to Hollywood to be an adult superstar. Synopsis

Bucky (Swardson) is a small town grocery bagger, going nowhere in life – until he discovers that his conservative parents were once adult film stars! Armed with the belief that he has found his destiny, Bucky packs up and heads out to LA, hoping to follow in his parents’ footsteps.

Bucky Larson: Born to Be a Star was directed by Tom Brady (The Comebacks, The Hot Chick) and co-written by Adam Sandler (Grown Ups, You Don’t Mess With the Zohan) & Allen Covert (The Benchwarmers, Grandma’s Boy) & Nick Swardson (The Benchwarmers, Grandma’s Boy). It was produced by Adam Sandler, Jack Giarraputo (The Zookeeper, Just Go With It), Allen Covert, Nick Swardson and David Dorfman (My Boss’s Daughter, Anger Management).
