This January Marvel will be releasing the new Scarlet Spider ongoing series, but writer Chris Yost (X-Force, Red Robin, Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes) and artist Ryan Stegman (Fear Itself: Hulk vs Dracula). The series will feature the original Spider-Clone, Kaine, in a ‘new’ identity as he moves to Houston, Texas to become a hero there. To celebrate the January 11th release, the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema – West Oaks is going to be hosting a welcome party.
From twelve pm until four pm, Yost and Stegman will be appearing at 8th Dimension Comics & Games to sign copies of Scarlet Spider #1 before moving to the Alama Drafthouse at six thirty. Attendees will each receive a copy of Scarlet Spider #1, and will get to take part of the Marvel pre-show which will be aired over the movie screen.
At seven thirty Alan Cerny of Ain’t It Cool News will step in to moderate a panel for Yost and Stegman to discuss all things Scarlet Spider with the audience before finally wrapping the night up with some Chris Yost written episodes of Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes.
