Before I start complaining about this being gross, I will say one thing: Nover has a high pain tolerance for needles and since he’s a registered nurse, he’s comfortable around them too. I see a needle and I think “junkie.” Maybe he does too, but with his medical experience, he treats them like forks except in this case, where the syringe really is just that.
After his Bellator 59 bout with Marcin Held, Nover was experiencing some swelling on his right elbow that wouldn’t go away. He had reached the point where he needed to drain the fluid and that’s where the video picks up.
