There’s a few storylines being promoted by WWE.com for tonight’s live episode of Monday Night Raw:
1) The lead story is the fallout from Zack Ryder’s inability to change a flat tire, which allowed Kane to execute his master plan of using Ryder to bait John Cena into another attack. WWE.com wonders if Cena himself is to blame for the assault on Ryder and to sell the seriousness of these events, they even asked Eve for her eye-witness account of what took place last Monday night.
2) After the referee blew the call in the Punk-Swagger match last week, John Laurinaitis has decided to award Swagger with a U.S. Championship match against Zack Ryder. Whether Ryder is healthy enough to be up for the match is a different story.
3) Speaking of CM Punk, while Punk is not heavily advertised for tonight’s show (unbelievably enough), there will likely be a Ziggler-Punk showdown of some kind now that their WWE Championship match is set for the Royal Rumble with Johnny Ace as the special guest referee.
4) Brodus Clay looks to continue to bring THE FUNK, and The Miz is still very angry at R-Truth.
5) Lastly, celebrity blogger Perez Hilton is confirmed by WWE.com as a guest ring announcer for tonight’s show, and there’s also a rumor swirling that everyone’s favorite celebrity principal — Mr. Belding — will be in attendance as well.
