Is Fedor Emelianenko Finally Coming to UFC?

News

Fedor Emelianenko has quietly tallied two consecutive wins after three high-profile losses in Strikeforce that illustrated the chinks in the armor of “The Last Emperor.” Now, he’s looking to once again test himself against the best heavyweights in the world and he knows exactly where that’s going to be: the UFC.

In a recent interview with Russian news site Sportbox, Fedor spoke about his next fight date, “I can tell you the timing of my next bout right now. It’s going to be June or July.”

“Of course, I want to compete at home, in front of my countrymen,” Fedor continued, “But at the moment, the strongest and most respected MMA organization is situated in America. It’s the UFC. Therefore, I have to go to the US in order to face the strongest opponents.”

Does this mean that M-1 and UFC have finally come to an agreement? Doubtful. Let’s wait for the contracts are signed and we all see them before we get too excited.
