Bobby Womack, a legend of soul music, has been diagnosed with colon cancer. The news was broken by longtime friend Bootsy Collins, who also noted that the singer was already in the hospital for pneumonia. Womack was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2009 after a string of hits and writing hit songs for other bands.
