Raising Hope – Episode 2-18 Review – “Real Quick”

Reviews

Just a quick review of Raising Hope this week, because I didn’t have a chance to watch it the night it aired.

I liked it a lot better than last week’s episode, and I got a real kick out of the stuff with Jimmy and his great-grandmother. I also liked *most* of the stuff with Virginia and Burt, but the bit about Burt poking a hole in the condom back in the day kind of threw me for a loop. I mean, that’s not OK! Even if there is a happy ending!

Punctured condoms aside, I liked the idea of Virginia exploring her feelings about getting knocked up at a young age. Her regrets vs. her happiness, having to watch her friends do exciting things, wondering if Burt only stayed with her because he thought he had to. It was a nice moment of realness from a show that’s usually very wacky.

What did you guys think of “Poking Holes In The Story”?
