Antonio “Big Foot” Silva to Face Cain Velasquez at UFC 146

News

UFC officially announced it’s new co-main event for UFC 146 as former UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez will now face Antonio “Big Foot” Silva. His original opponent, Frank Mir, was promoted to the main event against Junior Dos Santos after number one contender Alistair Overeem was pulled from the card.

This gives the former champion a new opponent and keeps him on the all heavyweight card, but will leave Silva’s opponent, Roy Nelson, up in the air unless the UFC can come up with a plan.
