WWE Friday Night SmackDown Spoilers for Friday 9/21/12 — Opening segment actually features WWE Hall of Famer Edge, who is making a special appearance tonight:

Opening Segment: Edge comes out, talks about missing the fans and how it’s always a treat to come back. Edge then transitions into a Daniel Bryan / Kane video package, which leads to Bryan interrupting Edge live. Bryan tells Edge that “I’m the tag team champions” rather than “We”. Bryan and Edge go back and forth until Kane interrupts. Edge talks about how Kane and him used to torture each other, and Kane says he remembers that very clearly. Kane said they should “take care” of this unfinished business, but instead of fighting Kane wants he and Edge to hug it out, of course. Edge asks Bryan to join the hug until Damien Sandow interrupts. This ultimately leads to Booker T booking Kane vs. Damien Sandow … NEXT.

Match 1. Damien Sandow def. Kane — Bryan distracted Kane by taking both tag belts, enabling Sandow to get the surprising pin-fall victory.

Backstage, Kane was furious but then ran into Dr. Shelby, who told Kane he would make sure Daniel Bryan gets a match tonight also.

One big match tonight is Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus and Randy Orton. Booker T tells Del Rio he may get another title shot if he can win the tag match.

Match 2. Layla def. Natalya — Eve was on commentary.

Match 3. Sheamus and Randy Orton def. Alberto Del Rio and Dolph Ziggler — Del Rio took an RKO while Sheamus nailed Ziggler for the Brogue Kick for the win.

Match 4. Cody Rhodes def. Daniel Bryan — Kane distracted Bryan with his pyro twice causing Bryan to lose to Cody. Kane laughed as a result.

Backstage, now Daniel Bryan is looking for Kane. After they make fun of each other some more, Cody Rhodes and Damien Sandow come into view and tell Team Friendship their run as tag champs is a joke. A tag match is made for later in the show.

Match 5. Brodus Clay def. Heath Slater via DQ — Brodus dominated until Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre attached him from behind. They gloated while Mahal locked Clay in the Camel Clutch.

Match 6. Santino Marella def. Antonio Cesaro — Santino rolled up Cesaro after an Aksana injury distracted the ref from couting a pin-fall in the other direction. Cesaro then told Aksana in five languages, “We’re finished!”

Match 7. Team Friendship (Kane and Daniel Bryan) def. Damien Sandow and Cody Rhode via by DQ — Lumberjacks for the match were the Prime Time Players, the Usos, and Tyson Kidd and Justin Gabriel. Cody Rhodes nailed Kane with a chair to cause the DQ, and then Kane and Daniel Bryan decided to “share” chairs and just destroyed everyone at ring-side to louder and louder “YES!” chants that were heard throughout the crowd.
