Stephen Thompson wins via KO at 1:27 of the second round.
The finish looked bad in real time, as the ref stepped in during a flurry, but Clements was out during the first big combination and came to right as the stoppage was made. I’d rather something like this than a guy like Clements taking more punishment than he should. First round was fairly impressive, as well. It was Big John McCarthy on the call, too, so I’m not going to call this a bad one. He and Herb Dean get that kind of permission to stop fights, I think.
