WWE SmackDown Spoilers and Results for Friday 10/18/13:
Opening segment: Brad Maddox and Vickie Guerrero are interrupted by Daniel Bryan. Bryan says the Big Show will be at tonight’s event and then called on his friends Cody Rhodes and Goldust. The TV main event is announced as Bryan / Rhodes Family vs. The Shield.
Wyatt Family (Luke Harper and Erick Rowan) def. The Miz and Kofi Kingston – Bray Wyatt promo on Miz afterwards.
Brie Bella def. A.J. Lee (non-title match)
Big Show is now shown coming through the crowd with a ticket Daniel Bryan gave to him. Show said he’s going to file a major lawsuit against Stephanie McMahon and Triple H, and then Maddox and Vickie told him to leave. Big Show said he’s already fired so he can do what he wants, and he KO’s Maddox to close the segment.
CM Punk def. Big E Langston – afterwards Paul Heyman came out and cut a promo on Punk saying at Hell In A Cell he’ll be facing a caged animal in Ryback. Punk said Heyman will have nowhere to run and in the cell he will treat Ryback like an animal and put him to sleep. Ryback and Curtis Axel then went to double-team Punk, but Big E Langston made the save and subsequently turned face in the process.
Josh Matthews interviewed Alberto Del Rio and after playing the John Cena return video, Del Rio said Cena has no real passion for wrestling and is the ultimate gringo. Del Rio said Cena should have to start at the bottom when he returns, not be placed in a title match. He then claimed that he will break Cena’s arm at Hell In A Cell, and then Del Rio attacked Josh Matthews and applied the Cross Arm Breaker on him to end the segment.
The Usos def. The Real Americans (Jack Swagger and Antonio Cesaro) when Los Matadores came out and cause a distraction. El Torito then speared Zeb Colter!
Daniel Bryan came out for the main event. Randy Orton then followed and told Bryan he was in over is head at Hell In A Cell, that his fiancé Brie Bella is out of his league and he’s only over with the fans because of catch phrases. Randy said he’ll get the WWE title back at Hell In A Cell and be the face of the WWE again.
Main Event: Daniel Bryan and The Rhodes Family def. The Shield when Bryan nailed Dean Ambrose with the running knee and pinned him for the win.
