Last night on WWE Monday Night Raw 03.17.2014, Triple H added a stipulation to his match with Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania 30 that actually broke the Internet:
If Triple H beats Daniel Bryan, he will enter the WWE World Heavyweight Championship match against Randy Orton and Batista
My reaction to these developments is: Of course HHH-e did!
This added stipulation makes perfect sense on two levels.
First, it adds higher stakes to the match and gives Triple H a storyline reason for giving Daniel Bryan that deal last week.
Second, it adds a ton of emotional investment to the Bryan vs. HHH part of the WrestleMania XXX proceedings because there is still a segment of wrestling fans that is jaded and cynical enough to believe that when push comes to shove, Hunter will book himself to go over Bryan and then win the title in the Triple Threat match.
While I know that won’t happen, part of me wouldn’t mind seeing that happen just for the fans’ reactions alone on WrestleMania night.
In all seriousness, I do believe Daniel Bryan will win both matches. And if he doesn’t, well, I’ll have my popcorn ready for the aftermatHHH.
