When you can Michael Bisping out, rest assured… he will respond.
Bisping (14-6) and Luke Rockhold (2-1) have been at each other’s throats for the past few weeks, furthering the appetite of UFC fans to see a throwdown between the two loud mouths.
While Rockhold is still recovering from a broken toe sustained in April and Bisping will be in the main event at UFC Fight Night 48 magainst Cung Le later this month, it’s clear that both are firmly focused on each-ther.
Rockhold hasn’t attempt to disguise his disgust for his British adversary, recently saying that he plans to “take out” Bisping’s non-surgically repaired eye should the Brit “squeak” by Le.
Bisping clearly didn’t appreciate the maiming guarantee from his perspective challenger.
“He’s a f–king a–hole for calling me out constantly on Twitter,” Bisping told MMAjunkie.com. “He’s tweeting me constantly, he’s looking for attention, and maybe he’s trying to build his Twitter followers. I’ve got nothing against the guy. He seems like a nice enough guy. He just needs to f–king get over it. F–king guy is getting on like a vagina.”
While “The Count” has become infamous for berating opponents prior to meeting them in the Octagon (including noted public callouts with Jorge Rivera, Jason Miller, and Tim Kennedy), it’s clear that the situation with Rockhold is different.
“I laugh my ass off; I sit there with my son laughing (at him),” Bisping said. “Luke Rockhold is going on again. He’s trying to build his Twitter followers by attacking me, and then I respond, and maybe he gets more followers. I don’t know. I don’t think about those things. He obviously does because he’s a f–king kid going around to pool parties.”
