At a pre-fight press conference ahead of this weekend’s Fight Night showdown between Michael Bisping and Luke Rockhold, Chris Weidman was in attendance to also field questions from the media.
When asked to offer a prediction as to who would win the fight between bitter rivals Bisping and Rockhold, the middleweight champion chose to stick with his countryman.
Weidman: “I think it’s going to be an exciting (fight). You know Bisping doesn’t go away, so he’s a tough guy with great heart. So it’s going to be hard to finish him but …I’m going to have to say I think Rockhold wins this fight.”
This obviously raised the ire of the Brit.
Bisping: “Of course the Yanks, they stick together. You need all the help you can get (Luke). We started this shit and we’ll finish this shit.”
