JR Blog: Future New Japan Broadcasting, Shawn Michaels, UK Wrestlecon

News

Jim Ross checked in with a weekend blog, here are some highlights:

on New Japan
To be clear, New Japan was pleased with our broadcasting work back in January at Wrestle Kingdom 9 and I’d love to do more work with them in the future if tht materializes. Nonetheless there are much larger fish to fry for them to address as it relates to doing more North American, etc PPV presentations than who will be announcing their show. I still enjoy broadcasting and hopeful to more in various genres in 2015.

on UK Wrestlecon
I head to the UK to be a part of the largest Wrestlecon ever held in Europe on June 20-21 at the Grange Hotel near Tower Bridge. Some of the biggest stars in the biz are scheduled to appear including WWE Hall of Famers Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Trish Stratus, Lita aka Amy Dumas, Ron Simmons, Howard Finkel plus Godfather, Tatanka, Terri Runnels, Jackie Moore, Ashley Massaro, Demolition, The Nasty Boys, Tugboat, Alberto El Patron, Jim Neidhart, Harry Smith and UK legends Johnny Saint and Marty Jones. The Saturday sessions are getting near capacity but there are ample tickets for all functions including an audience with the Hitman and HBK on Sunday. For ticket info please go to www.psievents.co.uk.

Great conversation this week with Shawn Michaels about how he almost left WWE for wCW and what startling event prompted him to go clean and sober and to change his life for the better.
