NXT Takeover:Brooklyn is tonight – August 22, 2015 – and will have a bunch of great matches airing live on WWE Network.

Here is the Pulse Wrestling crew’s match by match preview of the event!

Ladder match for the NXT Championship
Finn Bálor (c) vs. Kevin Owens

CB: Will it be Climb Owens Climb?! Not this time.
Winner: Finn Balor

Jake Ziegler – It would seem silly to have Bálor drop the strap so soon after winning it, especially with Owens plenty busy on the main roster. I’m sure it will be great either way.
Winner: Finn Bálor

Penny – Since Owens is pretty much Main Roster now, it’s pretty much cut and dried the Finn gets the win.
Winner: Finn Bálor

Steve Berkman – I don’t think there will come a time where they use NXT to further a main roster angle. The only reason for Owens to win this title would be to put something shiny back on his shoulder every Monday. It makes no sense. Balor keeps it and keeps it strong. He’s already fast-tracked to the main roster so he needs to look strong so that when he does lose the title, it means something.
Most importantly, this match will be so much fun.
Winner: Finn Bálor

Pat Metalhead: One thing is certain about this match: it should be awesome. As for the winner, I’m assuming that Cena will regain “his” WWE title on Sunday, so that Owens, Cesaro and others can battle over the vacant US title. It makes no sense taking the title off Balor at this point so I’m going for him.
Winner: Finn Balor

Jushin Thunder Liger vs. Tyler Breeze

CB: Breeze should win to give his character a reason to inflate his ego even more.
Winner: Tyler Breeze

Jake Ziegler – I don’t see Liger’s possibly only match in WWE end without him getting his hand raised. Should be a lot of fun to see him in a totally new environment.
Winner: Jushin Liger

Penny – I’d LIKE to think Tripsy is smart enough to not bring in one of the most legendary Japanese wrestlers in the world just to job him out to Fake Zoolander. I tentatively call this one for Liger, hoping Tripsy doesn’t book it like Vince would.
Winner: Liger

Steve Berkman – There’s a part of me that wants to see Liger win and there’s a part of me that knows that it makes sense to give Breeze a rub. He’s been near the title multiple times and beating a legend always looks good. That said, the roof would come off the place for a Ligerbomb. Having Liger go over doesn’t sell tickets or merch so I think Prince Pretty pulls it out.
Winner: Tyler Breeze

Pat Metalhead: A bit more intriguing than it seems at first glance. While most think Breeze doesn’t belong in the same ring as Liger, he has steadily improved his game and act and has gotten over. Somehow. KENTA still would have been better, but that wasn’t possible so… Even at 50, Liger is still quite incapable of having a bad match and has devoted the later stages of his career to making the younger wrestlers look good. By simply being in the same ring as Liger, Breeze will learn a lot.
Winner: Jushin Thunder Liger

Tag team match for the NXT Tag Team Championship
Blake and Murphy (c) vs. The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch)

CB: The Vaudevillains say they have an answer to Alexa Bliss. I say they take the titles based on that.
Winners: The Vaudevillains

Jake Ziegler – I think there’s only going to be one title change on the show, and this is not it. I like the Vaudevillains a lot, I just don’t see them as Champions. Plus Blake and Murphy could be built up more to lose to a better team.
Winner: Blake & Murphy

Penny – The Dubstep Douchebags just do not work. Not as a tag team, not as effective heels, not as ANYTHING. They drip X-Pac Heat from every pore. Give the criminally underutilized Vaudevillains the win here. They’ve toiled long enough, they deserve a crack at the gold, especially since there’s no way they’ll ever be called up to Raw, which is a GOOD thing for them. Raw would just ruin their awesomeness.
Winners: Vaudevillains

Steve Berkman – Unless whomever the Vaudevillains bring to the fight is meant to get a huge push, then I don’t see Alexa Bliss being neutralized and the BAMF comes through. That said, they need a new finisher and entrance music and tights.
Winner: BAMF

Pat Metalhead: I can’t help it, I like the Vaudevillains. Their retro act is amusing and their ring work is generally good. So I’m going for them, I think that having a stint as the Champions would further elevate them.
Winner: The Vaudevillains

NXT Women’s Championship
Sasha Banks (c) vs. Bayley

CB: It’s Bayley’s time to realize her dream and hug that NXT Women’s Championship. The girlhood dream will come true!
Winner: Bayley

Jake Ziegler – Sasha is on the main roster, and this is finally Bayley’s time. I would be shocked to see anything else happen here.
Winner: Bayley

Penny – As with Finn and Owens, it’s a safe bet for Sasha to drop the belt here so she can focus on being misused and undercharacterized on Raw. Bayley is overdue for a run anyway, and the NXT Zombies adore her.
Winner: Bayley

Steve Berkman – The Boss is on Raw and the booking for months has led to Bayley finally getting the big win. If they don’t pull the trigger I’d be cross eyed. Bayley deserves it and quite frankly she deserves the main roster more than just about any non-NXT sourced Diva that’s there right now.
Winner: Bayley

Pat Metalhead: Bayley could win, if they want the NXT belt off Banks since she is now technically part of the Diva’s. But I think Banks needs to carry the belt for a while longer, and in the future, even add the Diva belt to her collection. Why? The Charlotte’s, Becky Lynch’s and Paige’s need a dominant heel to play with. Banks is the only possible choice for that.
Winner: Sasha Banks

Baron Corbin vs. Samoa Joe

CB: Joe will take this one or Brooklyn will riot!
Winner: Samoa Joe

Jake Ziegler – Joe’s gonna kill you.
Winner: Samoa Joe

Penny – I DESPERATELY want Joe to go over here, but given the absolutely awful Corbin is a Tripsy Pet Project, they’ll likely let him get the duke here, possibly causing a riot when Joe jobs.
Winner: Corbin

Steve Berkman – There’s not a cell in my body that wants to see Samoa Joe put over Wolfy but NXT is first and foremost a developmental group, not an indie circlejerk. Corbin doesn’t necessarily need the win, but he does need to stand toe to toe with Joe and put up a damn near fight. Like all his previous PPV matches, I expect this to be a ton of lumber/punch/outside stuff from Corbin. He already proved he can hit End of Days. I think an attempt at it but a counter that ends up in a Coquina Clutch. Corbin goes out but doesn’t tap.
Winner: Samoa Joe

Pat Metalhead: I hate this one, I really do. Simply because I just KNOW WWE (Vince) has more faith in Corbin than in Joe. That tells you who will win. And I hate that.
Winner: Corbin (bouhouhou)

Also announced:
Apollo Crews vs. Tye Dillinger

Jake Ziegler – Can’t wait to see what Crews can do on a big stage.
Winner: Apollo Crews

Penny – Crews. No one loses their debut match in NXT.
Winner: Crews

Pat Metalhead: The former Uhaa Nation’s debut should be interesting if only to see how the WWE/NXT will present him. That will tell us much about how much faith they have in him.
Winner: Apollo Crews

Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, Zack Ryder and Mojo Rawley vs. Jason Jordan, Chad Gable, Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder

Jake Ziegler – Let’s go with the babyfaces?
Winner: Amore, Cassady, Ryder, and Rawley

Penny – If they’re smart, the Jersey Shore Singalong boys win here.
Winner: Amore, Cassady, Ryder, and Rawley

Pat Metalhead: Since seeing how much efforts Jason Jordan puts in to make the Tough Enough crew look good, I’ve become a fan. Unfortunately, the names are on the other team, but I do hope they all have some time to show what they can do.
Winner: Enzo and friends

Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte vs. Dana Brooke vs. Emma

Jake Ziegler – Three great talents here, should be a fun match. Seems like Charlotte is being most protected, so why not have Becky go over here and be Bayley’s first challenger?
Winner: Becky Lynch

Penny – Any of the 3 except Dana Brooke. My soft spot is for Emma or Becky.
Winner: Emma or Becky

Pat Metalhead: Same observation for Dana Brooke as for Jason Jordan and same hope that everybody is allowed to shine a bit.
Winner: Charlotte

Bull Dempsey vs. Elias Samson

Jake Ziegler – Isn’t Elias Samson just a jobber?
Winner: Bull Dempsey

Penny – Bull loses to continue his “I’m in a slump” gimmick.
Winner: Elias Samson

Pat Metalhead: Demspey is going nowhere fast and Samson is a relatively new face who at least looks the part.
Winner: Elias Samson

Carmella vs. Eva Marie

Jake Ziegler – The one getting the big push. Let’s see if all the training will pay off.
Winner: Eva

Penny – They’re pushing Eva, who, contrary to the Pulse’s resident woman haters, is actually busting her ass with Kendrick to learn the craft. So I’m guessing she’ll go over here.
Winner: Eva

Pat Metalhead: Wow, this should be a trainwreck. I’m going to go with carmella, because I don’t think I can handle an Eva Marie victory celebration.
Winner: Carmella
