New Low For WWE RAW Ratings, Vince McMahon Not Happy

News

Monday’s episode of WWE RAW scored a 2.33 rating, down from the 2.47 rating the show drew last week.

RAW averaged 3.333 million viewers, which is down from last week’s 3.349 million viewers. The first hour drew 3.476 million viewers, the second hour drew 3.326 million viewers and the final hour drew 3.188 million viewers.

With the exception of a Christmas Eve episode from 2012, these are the lowest viewership numbers since 1997.

On a related note, several wrestling sources reported that following last week’s ratings, which were already a record low, Vince McMahon put “enormous pressure” on WWE’s creative team. One can only imagine what Vince’s reaction was this week, when the numbers came in. The past has proven Vince is known to make major changes when WWE starts panicking about ratings.

I've been following wrestling for almost 30 years now, and the metal scene for even longer. And let's just say that all that head-banging has left me with some weird ideas that i will share with you from time to time. Aren't you glad?
