Cody Rhodes Storefront Hits ProWrestlingTees

News

Cody Rhodes requested to leave WWE earlier this year and has embarked on a quest to fulfill his pro wrestling bucket list. While many would use a post-WWE run to coast, Cody seems intent to do what Drew Galloway has done and make himself a more respected name outside of WWE than he was in it. The former Stardust has taken one more step away from WWE by launching his own ProWrestlingTees store. So far, only one shirt is offered up – a comic book-inspired version of Cody with a blood-soaked moon backdrop and a Blade Runner-style font.  It’s striking and looks pretty good – not amazing, but better than many offerings on PWTees.

Cody’s first post-WWE match is set for NEW’s Wrestling Under the Stars event on August 27 against Kurt Angle. With Kurt Angle leaving WWE in 2006 and Cody debuting there in 2007, they have never had a match until now. NEW is known for providing large-scale matches for an independent company, and had Kevin Owens’ last non-WWE match against Jerry Lawler at Wrestling Under the Stars III – a fantastic show that is only $8 on NEW’s store.
