Tonight marks the debut Frontier on Discovery Canada.
Starring a diverse international cast led by Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones), the six-part series offers audiences an in-depth look at the raw beauty and cutthroat power struggle in the 18th century North American fur trade industry. Using the elements of revenge, betrayal, and brutality, the concept of being ‘the last man standing’ is taken to a new level in one of Discovery Canada’s most highly-anticipated offerings to date.
At CTV’s 2016 Upfront presentation, I had the opportunity to catch up with Frontier castmembers Landon Liboiron, Jessica Matten and Allan Hawco who gave me a sneak peek for what fans can expect from the series.We discussed the concept of Frontier and why the fur trade is such a compelling concept to Canadians. They also told me more about their characters and elaborated on the incredible visuals of the series, as it is the first Discovery Canada show to be shot entirely in 4K UHD.
