Titans

Welcome to the column where we talk all things Titans this week.

If you have been living under a rock, let me tell you something. DC Comics have started a new streaming service called DC Universe and the first show on the streaming service is Titans; it debuts today.

Titans is a popular DC Comics teams usually made up of various young DC heroes. They are my favorite team ever and I think they are considerably better than other teams like Justice League and Avengers. There is a reason which you would get if you read the comics

Anyways, the synopsis for the Titans DC TV series reads as follows:

Titans follows young heroes from across the DC Universe as they come of age and find belonging in a gritty take on the classic Teen Titans franchise. Dick Grayson and Rachel Roth, a special young girl possessed by a strange darkness, get embroiled in a conspiracy that could bring Hell on Earth. Joining them along the way are the hot-headed Starfire and loveable Beast Boy. Together they become a surrogate family and team of heroes.

The first Robin, Dick Grayson who has left Gotham City. He is trying to distance himself from Batman.

Starfire an alien outcast stuck on Earth who runs into the Titans.

Beast Boy can transform into many animals and is also green.

Raven is the daughter of a demon. She brings the horror part of the show.

These four aren’t the only heroes showing up. Both a make and femake Dove, Hawk and the Doom Patrol have all been confirmed.

I am also really excited for Jason Todd, the new Robin, and Donna Troy, Wonder Girl, are also appearing in Titans Season 1. Those two are the ones I am personally waiting for. Donna Troy is gonna be a series regular from Season 2 mostly and the finale may lead to Superboy and Lex Luthor showing up.

Am I excited for the show?

I really think the first trailer set a very dark tone for the series which the Titans should not be about. The later trailers have given me hope and I am gonna be watching it.

If you are thinking whether to watch or not, give it a chance, the Titans are awesome and for many this is the first live action appearance. So should be great.

I am so gonna watch it for Nightwing and Donna Troy anyways.
