Final Darkness, Multiverse End and Doomsday Clock Finale Teased? JLO Vs. Darkseid & Pre Fourth World / New Gods Worship?

Justice League Odyssey #1 ended with a startling revelation; that Azrael, Starfire and Cyborg are worshipped as the Old Gods of the pre-Fourth World!

Justice League Odyssey #2 opens with a storyline catch-up of what has happened to Darkseid all the back to the New 52 into Rebirth into the post Justice League: No Justice DC universe.

The JLO battled Darkseid because they don’t trust him.

He seems to want to help the JLO, but its self-serving too…

…as without the JLO and Darkseid teaming up the multiverse will die as the “clock ticks on countless lives“.

Darkseid reveals the Starfire statue that was and is being worshipped…

…as he disappears to let the JLO come to their own conclusions about what’s up and why they will need him.

We then get the secret history of the people that worship Old God Starfire. That included Brainiac bottling their world…

…being freed during Justice League: No Justice…

…apparently in a confusing timeline twist, angels then descended on the world, but they destroyed not saved them. I assume these angels are tied to those aliens that worship Azrael as an Old God.

The angels didn’t get what they were after…

…something called the Multiverse Key!

The alien is frail and dies as Starfire grabs the Multiverse Key…

…is seeming consumed by it and…

…becomes a big threat as…

…she becomes a New God?!
