  • Age of X-Man Alpha #1 – I intended to skip all of the Age of X-Man titles, as I figured they won’t ultimately lead to any real changes or lasting insight into the characters, but then I saw that the bookend is being written by Zac Thompson and Lonnie Nadler, who I admire greatly, and like the usual comics fan that I am, I’ve got this book and their miniseries on my pull file list.
  • Peter Cannon Thunderbolt #1 – You could not usually get me to care one bit about yet another remake with this character, especially one at Dynamite, the home of way too many projects like this. And then they went and got Kieron Gillen to write the book, and immediately I got very interested. Gillen is great, so this probably will be too.
  • I am also looking forward to new issues of Heroes in Crisis, Captain America, Punisher, Doctor Aphra, X-Force, Infinite Dark, and Man-Eaters.
  • I preordered Bloodshot Rising Spirit because I expected it was also written by Thompson and Nadler, and then it wasn’t. This week’s is the last one I’m obligated to buy, and then I’m gone.

Looks like the concept of fifth week is gone entirely as all comics companies are releasing a full slate of comics this week.

  • Age of X-Man Alpha #1 – So in Uncanny X-Men a few weeks ago, X-Man killed all the X-Men, which sets up this new status quo. Not sure if Age of X-Man is an alternate reality, or just an update on which mutants are still left. Marvel hasn’t really explained, so I guess we will just find out when this comes out this week.
  • Star Trek IDW 20/20 #1 and Star Trek: Q Conflict #1 – I really love what IDW has done with their Star Trek line. This week, we get the first issue of a big crossover featuring Q and a Picard story set twenty years before Star Trek: The Next Generation.
  • Man Without Fear #5 – Last issue, Wilson Fisk came to taunt Matt Murdock, and they teased that Fisk might be starting to remember that Matt is Daredevil (Purple Man’s kids had made the world forget). I still don’t know where this is going leading into the next DD series, but it’s been a strong miniseries.
  • Exiles #12 – And here we are saying goodbye to Exiles again. Real shame. I have always loved the idea for this book, and the current series has been very good. But there just never seems to be an audience for it.
  • Betty And Veronica #2 (Of 5)
  • Jim Henson’s Labyrinth Coronation #10 (Of 12)
  • Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #35
