Pull List Roundtable 2/6/2019: Female Furies #1, Age Of X-Man, Oberon #1, Daredevil #1 & More!

Female Furies #1 – I typically don’t like a lot of New Gods stuff, but the Female Furies have pretty much always entertained me. Would have loved for this to be a follow-up to Tim King’s Mister Miracle, but I am still going to check this one out.

Young Justice #2 – Loved the first issue of this. Seems like a real return to form for some of my favorite characters. No idea how this all fits in current DC continuity, but who cares as long as I’ve got Kon, Tim, Bart and Cassie back together!

Daredevil #1 – DD pretty much always manages to be one of Marvel’s better books. I definitely will miss Charles Soule’s Dardevil, but Chip Zdarsky should give us a fun new take on the character.

Oberon #1 – A new fairy series from Aftershock. “Betrayed by his people and exiled to Earth, Lord Oberon, the former king of the fairies, seeks out an innocent prophesied child in order to manipulate her into becoming his ultimate weapon so that he can reclaim his rightful throne.” Definitely something different, so I will give it a read.

Age Of X-Man – The Marvelous X-Men #1 – So Age of X-Man Alpha was Kind of an odd comic. Basically all the characters are in a world where everything is at peace. But love is forbidden. All births are done in hatching chambers, and Bishop gets wiped from reality because he’s playing house with Jean Grey. In the end, the X-Men find a flyer from Apocalypse promoting that love is a good thing. Didn’t really hook me. Wasn’t a bad comic really, just kind of there.

Gunhawks #1 – I love Western Comics! Gunhawks is part of Marvel’s 80th Anniversary celebration, and I am really looking forward to this!
