This issue picks up directly where Wolverine #6 ended, and I mean literally (full spoilers here), with this issue opening with a dramatis personae and a storyline catch-up page.
Wolverine is in Japan looking for Murmasa as needs a sword, but…
…he may be dead, or something, with zombie Hand ninjas on the scene too.
Somehow, Wolverine gets transported to hell during the melee where…
…the spirit or something of Murmasa is crafting a sword.
Wolverine is burned by hellfire and imprisoned; he’s also visited by his new rival Solem…
…a revived Wolverine can’t kill as he has adamantium skin?!
The team up to get the sword, but Murmasa is actually offering two swords to the devil or somesuch.
The demons kill the soul of Murmasa whose soul or something goes into both swords.
Solem can be hurt by these blades and Wolverine struggles to free himself from the devil demon’s grasp.
Looks Wolverine…
…may have made a deal with a devil to get one of the Blades of Murmasa!

This picks up directly where Wolverine #6 left off, also out this week, so this felt like Wolverine #7 instead of X-Force #13. No real X-Force anything here, but story was intriguing and art was goo. 6 out of 10.
