DC Comics Sees Bloody Return Of Justice Society Of America’s (JSA)…

…All-Star Squadron!

Tales Of The Dark Multiverse…

…Crisis On Infinite Earths #1 Spoilers and Review follows!

No variant cover for this one, just the main cover.

It’s a dark multiverse tale of the All-Star Squadron vs. Surtur.

The super-heroes lose the first battle.

Pretty cool Sandman Wesley Dodds aside reminding me again of how awesome the Sandman Mystery Theatre series was back in the day.

Fury takes up her mother’s mantle as Wonder Woman and the All-Star Squadron get ready for round two with Surtur.

They can’t defeat him so Green Lantern Alan Scott vows to be his avatar if he leaves Earth alone.

He agrees and the Dread Lantern is both and the Earth is spared.

The All-Star Squadron live to fight another day as the JSA as…

…a cursed Green Lantern roams through space for his new master.

The Pulse:

An interesting and very dark alternate take on the Crisis on Infinite Earths. Feels more like an inheritor to the Armageddon mantle than Crisis, but I’ll take what I can get with the JSA. Amazing art. 6 out of 10.
