Marvel Comics and Excalibur #17 Spoilers and Review follows.
Psylocke Reunion As Captain Britain and Kwannon Team-Up and…
…Pete Wisdom Returns!
We open with a dramatis personae and creators’ credits page then…
…we learn a wizard is looking for Captain Britain aka Betsy Braddock and he approaches Pete Wisdom to find her.
Well, Captain Britain is somewhere in Otherworld it would appear or the Omniverse or whatever it’s called, but essentially an alternate Earth or timeline where her current concubine as Queen is Angel aka Warren Worthington III and her ex-wife is Kwannon.
Back on Earth 616, Excalibur is read to go on a rescue mission to find Captain Britain; Pete Wisdom won’t be joining them.
Back on the alternate Earth, Kwannon and Captain Britain – who on Earth 616 shared a body as Psylocke for years – embark on a mission; Kwannon knows that Captain Britain isn’t from there and is in the skin or somesuch of their actual Queen Betsy aka Elizabeth.
Back on Earth 616, Excalibur is attacked by…
…witches and wizards looking for Captain Britain.
Back, in the otherplace, Kwannon turns on Captain Britain as…
…she just wants her to leave and does through a MacGuffin and…
…she rejoins her team ending the battle with the witches and wizards.
The Pulse:
The overall plot was a bit confusing, but the character moments were engaging. Art was solid. 6.5 out of 10.
