Marvel Comics & Heroes Reborn #3 Spoilers & Review: A Blur & An Echo In A World Without Avengers!

Spoilers, Top Story

Marvel Comics and Heroes Reborn #3 Spoilers and Review follows.

A Blur and An Echo In A World Without Avengers!

The book has a few more variant covers in addition to the above.

Plus the main cover.

The book opens with a character bio for Stanley  Stewart aka Blur of the Squadron Supreme of America.

Then we get a creators credits page.

We open with Stanley Stewart in is element explaining what’s its like to have speed powers.

Work also keeps him busy and in this issue that means the Silver Witch, still speaking of her dead Pietro, somehow captures Blur’s soul.

He must race through the dark dimension of death to get back and does with the help of a pal in fellow speedster the Ghost Runner aka Johnny Blaze.

We get some fanboy service where Wanda Maximoff gives us “No More Speed” in her “No More Mutants” vein from 2005’s House of M.

Without speed, Blur to has to slow things down to defeat the Silver Witch.

Ultimately, a mystic whale or somesuch is the solution and Wanda is sent to Ravencroft where we also see Echo aka Maya Lopez.

The opening story ends with Blur back with his speed powers ready to race Eternity?!

The back-up tale is Echo telling her story of keeping her violent co-prisoners at Ravencroft like Bullseye in line…

…as she remembers the old world too.

Blade the Vampire Hunter has tracked her down and…

…he and Captain America want to form the Avengers with her to right reality.

We then get the Heroes Reborn checklist with only one tie-in one-shot this with Magneto and the Mutant Force #1.

Next week we get Heroes Reborn #4 (of 7).

The Pulse:

Decent art on both stories, but I found the opening Blur story, particularly the entering and leaving of the death dimension confusing. The back-up story was strong as the Avengers continue to slowly assemble. 6.5 out of 10.
