Marvel Comics and Venom #200 Spoilers & Review follows.

New Status Quo, New Threat and New Venom Via Venom #35 Spoilers!

The book has A LOT more variant covers on top of the above including the below.

Plus the main cover.

The book includes a creators credits page.

The book opens with a recap of Eddie Brock and Venom’s interconnected history with a focus on the recent King in Black event where…

…Eddie Brock assumed the powers and role of Knull the symbiote god that he defeated.

However, his new powers and responsibilities have…

…drained and aged Eddie Brock.

The Venom symbiote and Eddie Brock seem to be leading a take on “My Two Dads” sitcom as…

…they look after Dylan Brock.

The Sleeper symbiote is still around using a cat as its host.

Eddie Brock and Spider-Man meet-up for lunch and…

…Brock’s cane is a symbiote.

Later, we see the extent of Eddie’s symbiote god powers…

…where he can at many places at once…

…discussing the looming threat of the Maker.

He’s an evil Reed Richards from the defunct Ultimate Universe…

…who poses a big threat to the universe…

…with his Council of Reeds.

We get some humor thrown in as…

…Eddie Brock tells the Avengers that…

…they’ll have an ally in the coming war with…

…Flash Thompson’s Anti-Venom; although his secret identity may have been outed.

The book ends on Dylan Brock who encounters Jack O’ Lantern and willing confronts him only to be shot…

…forcing the Venom symbiote to…

…claim Dylan as his new host so that he can heal Dylan from the gunshot wound; think Iron Man armor saving Tony Stark from dying, but I think Dylan is instantly healed.

This does not end well for the Jack O’ Lantern.

Eddie is not surprised it took this short a time for the two to bond.

He’s open to them working together as…

…a new era for Venom begins.

Next up is the Extreme Carnage event that begins next month.

Plus the new Venom series that begins in November 2021.

The book ends with a look at the series’ 200 issues.

The Pulse:

Over 70 pages of story in this milestone issue. Lots of developments for our characters as well as setting up the future. An action-packed and emotional at times issue. Lots of artists and while they are all top notch in their own right, the transitions between artists and art styles was jarring at a few points. Intrigued by the two Venom in Marvel now: (1) Cosmic Venom Eddie Brock who appears to anchor the new ongoing series and (2) Earth Venom Dylan Brock who may or may not be the core Venom in Extreme Carnage. The future looks bright, in a dark way, for Venom fans. 7 out of 10.
