Image Comics and Geiger #6 Spoilers and Review follows.

Explosive Finale Irradiates Future?!

The double sized finale does have a few variant covers on top of the above.

Plus the main cover.

We open with a creators credits page as…

…we also get a summary of the last five issues as a bit of a recap for readers.

Tariq Geiger and Hailee free her cancer stricken brother Henry from the military, but…

…not before being confronted by Junkyard Joe…

a character to headline the next series collaboration by writer Geoff Johns, artist Gary Frank and the rest of this creative team.

It is a bit of a frenzied battled where Junkyard Joe is unexpectedly resilient and resistant to melting under the shear nuclear heat of Geiger, but Tariq Geiger finds a way to prevail.

With one of his cooling rods destroyed, Geiger has difficulty controlling his powers, but…

…love conquers all it seems.

At this inopportune time, the mad king and his forces attack Geiger who…

…takes them all on head on and wins!

That allows Geiger to take Hailee and Henry to another secluded and secure area…

…to live out the rest of their lives as…

…Geiger goes back to…

…face the mad king and all of his atomic knights.

Well, he takes everyone out in one fell swoop…

…as Geiger irradiated two-headed wolf Barney looks on.

The book ends in the future with…

…Geiger’s story yet to continue with…

…with an adult Hailee set to be a friend or foe for Geiger.

Next up is the collected edition of Geiger volume one out on November 24, 2021.

On the same day, an 80 page Giant Geiger also hits stands with more from the world of Geiger and a story in this seeming anthology book that sets up Junkyard Joe’s series.

The Pulse:

This creative can generally do no wrong, but while Geiger proved compelling from the initial teases, I’m not so sold on Junkyard Joe. I’ll check it out and the rest of the Unnamed offerings as part of the Mad Ghost publishing plan. In terms of the Geiger volume one finale here, solid art, compelling story, but too clean (despite its gore) and ending for the king and his court; Geiger is all powerful, but relatable if he struggles going forward with his powers. 8 out of 10.
