DC Comics & Justice League Incarnate #2 Spoilers & Review: Multiverse Cracked?!

News, Spoilers, Top Story

DC Comics and Justice League Incarnate #2 Spoilers and Review follows.

Multiverse Cracked?!

The book also has two variant covers.

One in color and one in black and white.

The book opens with Darkseid’s children Kalibak and Grail following their hero-brother Orion to the Justice League Incarnate and waging war on this JLI.

The rest of the JLI is on Earth 13.

Here is the classic Earth 13 bio from the Multiversity Guidebook.

They are in Tavern of Mystery, guided by a spandex clad John Constantine, and…

…come face-to-face with Fate, a cool use of the 1990’s Jared Stevens’ Fate, who…

…shoo’d away by the Superdemon.

They JLI are pulled into the sanctum of their Earth 13 counterparts and learn Darkseid is in the midst of a cosmic battle as…

…JLI gets somehow transported into that fray.

Doctor Multiverse spies a crack in the multiverse which…

…is exploited by the Dark Multiverse’s Batwoman Who laughs wearing a Infinite Frontier Gauntlet of some kind.

We get a nice reprieve in the battle over the monikers President Superman and Doctor Batman; elsewhere there’s also some teased romantic tension and attraction between President Superman and Doctor Multiverse.

To the climax of the battle, Doctor Multiverse and the Batwoman Who Laughs showcase their powers!

That somehow leads to the Batwoman Who Laughs attacking the rest of the JLI team elsewhere as…

…the JLI she had waged battle with earlier have been…

…scattered across the multiverse or linearverse or omniverse; whatever its called now.

Next up is Justice League Incarnate in stores on January 4, 2022.

Then Justice League Incarnate #4 out on February 1, 2022.

The finale in Justice League Incarnate #5 arrives on March 1, 2022.

The Pulse:

This was quite a topsy turvy and trippy issue. The story was inaccessible at few points, such as the whole quantum physics behind the multiverse, but the character moments were entertaining. The art was serviceable, but not socks-blowing. 6 out of 10.
