We get an in issue wholly on Peter Parker and MJ this time.
While Peter is on the mend and out of the ICU, it looks he has other troubles as MJ is told visiting hours are ending early and, when she’s gone, he’s heavily sedated.
Peter, with two others in the issue, and many more beforehand, are wheeled to a sub-basement of the hospital to be eaten!
MJ thought there was something fishy going on, as visiting hours don’t end early, and she followed the monster and boyfriend to the sub-basement.
Based on the monsters musings, she knows its not a fan of light or electricity which…
…proves to be his undoing.
Will Peter ever know when to rest and let MJ take care of him?
The book ends on the main Beyond plot and the return of the Lizard.
The Pulse:
Good to know what’s been happening to Peter and that MJ is portrayed as heroine in her own light. A nice respite story from the main Beyond arc, but the end with Lizard tied back into that. A thoughtful and action packed story. The art served the story well, but is not wholly my cup of tea. 7 out of 10.
